Hi there! I’m Tyler Shepherd, and I’m so glad you stopped by! Let’s get to know each other! I’m 24 years old and live in Colorado with my husband, Sean, and our two huskies, Dakota and Malaki. I call them our furry children!
I’m originally from Birmingham, AL, where I was a gymnast for fifteen years. I reached level 10 and was training elite before a back injury took me out and required surgery. After my injury, I started coaching and became the head coach of Vision Gymnastics in Hoover, AL before moving to Colorado in 2013 to be a part of an internship at New Life Church, where I did event planning. Once I graduated, I pursued event planning as a career, but realized I missed gymnastics way too much! So I went back to coaching for a couple of years here in Colorado where I coached levels 6-10 and choreographed floor and beam routines. Now I am currently pursuing a pilates certification to be able to teach classes in the near future.
My goal of this blog is to hopefully encourage and inspire those of you in the sport of gymnastics. It’s a tough sport. And sometimes an ally helps a lot! Well, I want to be that ally for you. Please feel free to reach out to me with suggestions for posts or any questions you may have. You are beautiful, you are loved, and I can’t wait to get to know YOU!
